Bandarabbas Representative office of the Supreme Leader in Sunni’s affairs
There are multiple functions forming the complex that eventually create a united system in the design of the Representative office of the Supreme Leader in Sunni’s affairs, located in Bandarabbas. The functions are divided into gathering halls, office area and temporary living sections, beside religious and educational areas, which could also function independently.
One of the factors that can also count as the main design challenge is the appearance, that not only represents the symbols of historical religious architecture, but can also introduce the project, aside from its non-religious function.
As this building is one of the whole complex of buildings with the same function, the goal was to reach a united form and pattern in all the structures, and also consider the features of sustainable design in each design, based on its location.
The entrance introduces the building with its monumental arch that is somewhat detached from the main structure. A very clear reminder in the design of this bricked arch is the four schools comprise Sunni jurisprudence, represented with Quadruple repetition of arches.
