As the largest global event with the focus on the acquaintance of nations and cultural interactions, the Expo is a platform for thinking about human existence on the planet and looking deep at human concerns apart from contradictions and differences.
The theme of Expo 2015 was “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life”, encompassing technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity and how they relate to food and diet. Our concept for the design of the Iranian Pavilion was driven from the Iranian Garden design, the process of growing wheat, the ceremony for its harvest, as well as the key theme of the Expo, feeding the planet. The design is developed gradually, applying geometry driven from traditional Iranian designs, the carpet weaving and the pattern of Orosi windows, using flavors as an addition to it.
